Peachtree Corners, GA – Custard Companies is pleased to announce the promotion of Tim Johns to the position of Vice President, Information Technology.
Johns joined Custard in March of 2020 as Information Technology Manager. His accomplishments were quickly recognized, and he was promoted to Assistant Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in August of 2022.
Over his 35+ year career as an IT professional, Johns has gained many certifications and titles, most of which are within the security arena. He has primarily worked in Management, Administration and Security Governance for industries such as Healthcare, Finance, and the service industry. Johns has worked extensively with regulations including HIPAA/HITECH, GLBA, and utilizes ISO 27001/SOC2 and several NIST principles.
Although the last 28 years of Johns’ experience has been in management, he prides himself on keeping his technical skills up to date and being a “hands-on” manager with knowledge on the latest Security and IT technologies. Additionally, Johns maintains his current certifications by participating in continuing education to provide Custard with the highest level of a secure working environment.
As an Information Technology professional with demonstrated management experience in the IT industry, Johns has opined that the best way to achieve success is to motivate your resources with well-defined objectives and empowerment. A management belief based on integrity, quality, and service, along with a positive attitude, an aptitude for strategic thought and planning, and the ability to adapt quickly to new ideas and situations allows for the achievement of consistent and significant successes.
