Key Promotions for Custard’s Growing Property Team
Richard Mixon – Custard Insurance Adjusters, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Richard Mixon to Vice President of Property Services.
In 2021, Mixon started his career at Custard as Assistant Vice-President in Property Services and has shown immense drive and determination to build the division which has led to his most recent promotion.
Richard Mixon brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in recruiting personnel and management of large-scale property programs. He has been instrumental in helping Custard develop a strong growth plan for the property lines of business across the country and has made an incredible impact in a relatively short time period. Custard is proud to have Mixon serve as a leader in this fast-growing sector of the business, and we look forward to seeing how his experience, positive attitude, and expertise will propel our service offerings in the years to come.
Jeff Buxton – Another well-deserved promotion in Property is for Jeff Buxton to Assistant Vice President of Property Services Management.
Buxton started his career as a Claims Reviewer in September of 2013 with Custard and he has continued to show determination and a strong work-ethic, evident with several promotions over the years: Senior Claims Reviewer to PSM Unit Manager and then to his most recent position as PSM/TPA Manager in June of 2017.

Mid-Atlantic Region District Manager Promotion
Chandra Bivens – Custard Insurance Adjusters, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Chandra Bivens to the position of District Manager in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Bivens started her career at Custard in August of 1998 and has reached many professional goals during this time leading to this most recent promotion. Over the course of 26 years with Custard, she has managed to build a successful career from the ground up; starting as an Administrative Assistant, and then moving on to Adjuster Trainee, Adjuster, Adjuster-In-Charge, Branch Manager and then in 2014, was promoted to her most current position as Area Manager.
Bivens is a true example that working hard, and professional drive will lead to a strong career path. She is an established professional with her beginnings working directly in the field which has given her strong skills in management and client partnerships. Bivens is now tasked with oversight of the branches and claims handling in the states of Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, Southern New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Senior VP, Michael Arendt states, “Chandra has been a huge part of my district’s success during the past 26+ years and she will be assisting me with taking the district to the next level!
